Shea came to massage from a place of personal need. She had been injured in a car accident at age 16 and had been struggling through college with lots of problems and sometimes debilitating pain. After graduating from Sonoma State University with a BA in Anthropology (ie practically useless) in 2007, she found herself desiring both a career and some physical relief. One day she had the brilliant idea to enroll in massage training at Santa Barbara Bodyworks. It quickly became apparent that Shea had a knack for bodywork and she has found a deep sense of purpose in the world through offering this gift to others.

When Shea is not practicing her craft you’ll likely find her in a yoga class, taking long walks on the beach, hiking amongst the redwoods, watercolor painting, reading a book, cooking delicious meals and enjoying good times exceptional beings.
